Hospitality and destination design firm WATG has extended GHC Asia's remit to mainland China, in addition to its current media relations duties for the APAC region.
In a statement, WATG said it had retained GHC Asia for a second term as its communications representative for APAC, and extended its remit to mainland China to cover media relations. Currently, WATG and its interior design studio Wimberly Interiors are working on landmark projects and are continuing to expand design talent and resources in the region.
“The synergy from GHC Asia’s passion for the travel and hospitality industry was evident from the start of our partnership in 2021. It was a natural progression to extend their remit to celebrate our long history and the firm’s future in Mainland China," said Jennifer Ploszaj, CMO of WATG.
"With our relationship in the region dating back more than 40 years, we’re proud of our legacy and are excited about the creative projects launching in the months ahead. We are confident that GHC Asia’s 20 years of experience in China will complement our growth in this important market and help to celebrate our exceptional local talent," Ploszaj added.
Paul Hicks, founder and CEO of GHC Asia, also commented, "WATG are truly legends in all aspects of design. We are very excited to be telling their incredible story and delighted that they have extended our remit to include communications in China."
